Lenten Lecture Series - "Encountering Jesus in Works of Charity"

Our Lenten series, Encountering Jesus, continues as our own Father Jim Greenfield, Provincial, Oblates of St. Francis de Sales, explores "Encountering Jesus in Works of Charity." Join us on Wednesday, April 2 at 12:45pm, or Thursday, April 3 at 7pm.

In his apostolic exhortation Evangelii Gaudium, Pope Francis writes, "The joy of the gospel fills the hearts and lives of all who encounter Jesus. Those who accept his offer of salvation are set free from sin, sorrow, inner emptiness and loneliness. With Christ joy is constantly born anew" (1). Borrowing the title of noted author Monsignor Peter J. Vaghi’s latest book, this year's Lenten series will highlight ways in which we can strive to draw closer to Jesus Christ in our everyday lives and share the power of those encounters with others.
