Horton’s Kids empowers children living in one of DC’s most under-resourced and violent communities, so they may graduate from high school ready for success in life. St. Matthew’s is partnering with Horton’s Kids on a summer food drive to restock their emergency food pantry. Keeping the food pantry stocked will combat food insecurity for 500 children this summer.
We will collect food after Masses on the weekend of July 15 - 16. Items needed are: canned chicken & tuna, cereal & oatmeal, complete meals, canned fruits & veggies, crackers and granola bars. Pick up a flier or view the flier here for a full list of items needed. Questions? Email Norma Canedo at email@example.com.
