Prayer for the Victims of the Earthquake in Haiti
God of all creation, as we weep with our family in Haiti, console us. In this time of crisis, open our eyes to look beyond the disaster to see Christ in our brothers and sisters in Haiti, as Christ sees us. Be with us as we stand in solidarity with those living and working in Haiti. Be with us in our mourning and guide our efforts to feed the hungry, shelter the homeless, comfort the grieving and stand for justice. With your mercy, sustain us at this time as we continue to work for peace and justice. Amen.

St. Matthew’s Pilgrimage —
Ireland: Celtic Spirituality, Heart & Soul!

Join fellow parishioners and friends in this exciting pilgrimage to Ireland, lead by our pastor and Cathedral Rector, Msgr. W. Ronald Jameson! Our trip will take place April 12–21, 2010, and will take us to exciting parts of Ireland, including Galway, Connemara, Knock, Cliffs of Moher, Killarney, Kilkenny and Dublin. We will visit ancient castles and abbeys, see fantastic panoramic views of the island and experience the unparalleled Irish hospitality. We will even have dinner in a medieval castleone evening! YEAR FOR PRIESTS
Pope Benedict XVI has designated June 19, 2009 through June 19, 2010 as the Year for Priests, coinciding with the 150th anniversary of the death of St. John Vianney, to encourage a deepening of the spiritual life of those called to priestly ministry. In the spirit of the called-for dialogue of the year, The Catholic University of America has interviewed twelve alumni about their experiences in the priesthood, and our very own Msgr.
