Ordination of Our Dominican Seminarian

Bro. Patrick Mary Briscoe, O.P., a Dominican friar studying for the priesthood currently assigned to St. Matthew’s, will be ordained a Transitional Deacon in the Crypt Church of the National Shrine on Saturday, March 14 at 9:30am by the Most Rev. Roger Foys, Bishop of Covington. He will serve as deacon and preach for the first time at St. Matthew's 5:30pm Mass on Saturday, March 14, and will give a reflection as he presides at our monthly Eucharistic Holy Hour on Monday, March 16 from 6 to 7pm. All are welcome!

175th Anniversary Celebration Begins!

On Sunday, January 25, 2015, Msgr. Jameson and the Cathedral clergy, staff and hospitality volunteers welcomed many parishioners and friends for Choral Vespers, an Ecumenical Prayer Service, with Msgr. Jameson presiding, music by our Schola Cantorum, a Gospel reflection by Rev. Cheryl Sanders, Pastor of the Third Street Church of God, and a musical reflection by Evelyn Simpson Curenton. Enjoy some photos of this beautiful opening event of our parish's 175th Anniversary celebration.
