Services for William Cardinal Baum, KGCHS, Archbishop Emeritus of Washington, will be held at the Cathedral of St. Matthew the Apostle on Thursday and Friday, July 30 and 31. Cardinal Baum served as a cardinal for 39 years, the longest such tenure in U. S. Church history. He died on July 23, at the age of 88.
The services, listed below, are open to the public. All are welcome to attend the Vigiil Mass and the Funeral Mass, and to pay their respects to Cardinal Baum at either of the Viewings to be held in the Cathedral.

7:00pm: Vigil Mass for the Deceased (Cardinal Wuerl, Celebrant; Bishop Knestout, Homilist)

11:00am - 1:45pm: Viewing
2:00pm: Mass of Christian Burial, followed by Rite of Committal (Cardinal Wuerl, Celebrant & Homilist)
** No 11am confessions or 12:10pm Mass
