Happy Eastertide!

He is truly risen! Alleluia!

A blessed and joyful Easter season to all our parishioners and friends, from Msgr. Jameson and all the the priests, deacons and staff of St. Matthew's Cathedral! Congratulations to the newest members of our Catholic family! During the Holy Saturday Easter Vigil, six persons were baptized, confirmed and received their First Eucharist; six baptized Christians made their profession of faith and were confirmed and received their First Eucharist, and three baptized Catholics were confirmed and received their First Eucharist! Please welcome them in your hearts, and keep them in your prayers.

The Annunciation of the Lord

[title]Behold, I am the handmaid of the Lord. May it be done to me according to your word. (Lk 1:38) 
On Monday, April 9, we celebrate the Solemnity of the Annunciation of the Lord. Join us on this beautiful solemnity celebrating a pivotal event in salvation history. Listen for the cantor and organist at our 12:10pm Mass!

Holy Saturday, March 31 

  • 9:00am: Morning Prayer, St. Anthony Chapel
  • 11:00am to Noon: Confessions (English & Spanish)
  • Noon to 7:00pm: No Masses during the day. The Cathedral is closed & reopens at 7:00pm
  • 8:00pm: Easter Vigil Mass, Donald Cardinal Wuerl (Schola Cantorum)

Cancellations Tonight

Due to deteriorating weather conditions, the following activities are cancelled this evening, Tuesday, March 20:

     •  "Ama a tu prójimo” Misa Bilingüe - "Love Thy Neighbor" Bilingual Mass (rescheduled for Tuesday, May 1)
     •   "Experiences of the Priesthood" talk by Fr. Conrad Murphy
