Loving Father, we thank you for the gift of life and the many blessings you have bestowed upon us.
Through the power of the Holy Spirit, inspire the Council of the District of Columbia to oppose B21-38, the “Death with Dignity” assisted suicide legislation.
Grant them wisdom to see the flaws in the legislation so the poor, those with special needs, the elderly and all the vulnerable may be protected.
In your mercy, shine your light upon our brokenness and transform our culture of death into a culture of life. We ask this in your name, Amen.
Let us take a stand against this injustice and show that we support the dignity of every human life.
