Fr. Mark Pranaitis, a Vincentian priest who has been helping with Masses and confessions for the last three years, has taken a new job and is moving from the DC region. His last day with us will be Thursday, August 10, when he hears confessions at 11am and celebrates the 12:10pm Mass.
On Monday, August 14 he will begin serving as Executive Director of Catholic Charities in the Diocese of Gary (Indiana). There he will oversee services to those living in poverty including a growing mental health program, services to immigrants, as well as a large good pantry and emerging program providing services to pregnant women who need support during pregnancy, childbirth, and beyond. He looks forward to developing new programs including affordable housing and social enterprise initiatives to help meet the critical needs of the people in northwest Indiana.
