Chrism Mass

The Chrism Mass for the Archdiocese of a Washington will be celebrated at St. Matthew’s Cathedral on Monday, April 15 at 7pm, and all are welcome to attend. At this very special Mass, the priests of the Archdiocese will renew their ordination promises and the sacramental oils for the year will be blessed. The Cathedral will close after the 12:10pm Mass and reopen at 6pm.

Schedule for Monday of Holy Week

• 7:00am: Mass
• 7:30am: Morning Prayer, St. Anthony Chapel
• 8:00am: Mass
• 11:00am to Noon Confessions (multiple confessors)
• 12:10pm: Mass
• 1:00pm to 6:00pm: The Cathedral is closed & reopens at 6:00pm
• 7:00pm: Chrism Mass & Blessing of Oils (choir)
