St. Joseph: Man of the Beatitudes -- A Lenten Bible Study

What: 

A four week Bible study on the life of St. Joseph (in honor of Pope Francis establishing 2021 as the Year of St. Joseph), hosted by Dominican brothers, Br. Philip Nolan, OP & Br. Simon Teller, OP. Each session will be conducted through Zoom and will last for one hour. During our discussions, we will focus especially on how St. Joseph is a model of the beatitudes.

Our Study Leaders

Rev. Br. Simon Teller, O.P. is a Dominican seminarian serving at the Cathedral parish, who was ordained a deacon this past March.  Br. Simon was born and raised in Cincinnati, OH. At the University of Dallas, he majored in English literature. After graduating he spent time as a street performer, playing and recording Irish and Americana music in Asheville, NC. In 2015, he entered religious life, joining the St. Joseph’s Province of the Dominican Friars. Br. Simon is currently studying for the priesthood at the Dominican House of Studies. He has assisted in several Cathedral ministries over the past two years, including parents’ catechism and marriage preparation.

Br. Philip Nolan, O.P. is a Dominican seminarian serving at the Cathedral parish, soon to be ordained a deacon. He grew up in Western Massachusetts, and he majored in philosophy at Williams College. After graduating, he spent a couple years working in journalism in New York City. In 2015, he joined the St. Joseph’s Province of the Dominican Friars. Br. Philip is studying for the priesthood at the Dominican House of Studies. He assists in several Cathedral ministries, including the RCIA program.
