St. Matthew's Young Adult Ministry coordinates Breaking Open the Word, a weekly discussion on the Sunday readings. Breaking Open the Word meets on Wednesdays at 7pm in the West Conference Room.
Book Club
Interested parishioners meet periodically throughout the year to discuss books of interest, whether classics or contemporary, in light of our faith..
Days of Recollection
Each Advent and Lent, parishioners gather for a morning of prayer and reflection on a specific theme. The morning typically includes presentations by a guest speaker, time for private reflection, opportunities to mingle, and celebration of the Eucharist.
Lectures
Guest speakers present lectures on a given theme or topic as part of the annual Fall and Lenten Lecture Series. These lectures are held twice each week of the series, once in the afternoon and once in the evening, to afford parishioners and visitors ample opportunity to attend. Other special lectures are scheduled throughout the year.
Our Lenten Lecture Series, entitled "Pray All - Ways," focused on prayer in its many variations. This Lent, we also offered a special two-part seies entitled "Portraits of Discipleship in Scripture".
