Ministry to the Sick and Homebound

Here at St. Matthew's we welcome all to celebrate the Eucharist with us. Each week we have parishioners, visitors from near and far, and those who join us via livestream. Some who are sick, homebound, or elderly may be unable to join us in person.

Did you know we have a ministry for you? We can bring the Eucharist to your home.

To arrange a visit, please send me an email or call the rectory office at 202-347-3215 and ask for me.

Penn Parking Hours

Next to the Cathedral you see the Penn Parking Garage. This lot is not a part of the Cathedral, but rather of the office building at 1717 Rhode Island Avenue. According to our agreement with Penn Parking, the garage must be open from 9am to 3pm each Sunday.

We need the garage to open earlier (perhaps at 8:30am), and to remain open until after the 5:30pm Mass. This would mean paying the garage attendant for an extra four hours. We tested this last year and did not attract enough users to cover this payment. So now I come to you.

Do you want parking available for the 5:30pm Sunday Mass?

Would you take advantage of the opportunity to park on a regular basis, or twice a month?

To make this change we would need your support. Please email me and let me know if you would support having parking available for the Sunday 5:30pm Mass. Thank you for your input.
