Cathedral Book Club Discussion | "Cathonomics"

Join Fr. Jack Hurley and friends on Thursday evening, August 25, for a Cathedral Book Club discussion of "Cathonomics," by former parishioner Anthony M. Annett. The book is subtitled, "How Catholic Tradition Can Create a More Just Economy."  We will meet from 7 to 8:15pm in the West Conference Room.

Another former parishioner, Michael Sean Winters, in an February 2022 review in National Catholic Reporter, argues that "Cathonomics" "should be required reading for anyone who is serious about bringing their faith to bear on decisions relating to public life." In agreement, Christine Legarde, president, European Central Bank, states "This book should be read widely."

Fr. Jack notes that, after reading the first couple of chapters, fears of a complex academic treatise were changed to delight in the clear and uplifting narrative style of this Irish native-born philosopher (and earlier Mass server at St. Matthew's)! This promises to be very worthwhile Summer reading!
