Creation Care Green Team (Zoom)

"There is a nobility in the duty to care for creation through little daily actions." (LS 211)

September Meeting

On Thursday, September 21, 2023 at 6pm, join the Creation Care Green Team Zoom meeting. This month we reflect on the Season of Creation 2023, with the theme Let Justice and Peace Flow.

Theme: Let Justice and Peace Flow

Prophet Amos cries out: “But let justice roll on like a river, righteousness like a never-failing stream!” (Amos 5: 24) and so we are called to join the river of justice and peace, to take up climate and ecological justice, and to speak out with and for communities most impacted by climate injustice and the loss of biodiversity.

As the people of God, we must work together on behalf of all Creation, as part of that mighty river of peace and justice.

Our Mission

To encourage a deeper awareness of our duties to God’s creation and to take action at the individual, state, national and global level with a focus on prayer, ecological conversion, energy efficiency, conservation, and advocacy efforts.

From Pope Francis

"Dear friends, time is running out! Deliberations must go beyond mere exploration of what can be done, and concentrate on what needs to be done, starting today. We do not have the luxury of waiting for others to step forward, or of prioritizing short-term economic benefits. The climate crisis requires 'our decisive action, here and now' (Laudato Si’, 161) and the Church is fully committed to playing her part."
