Concert of Remembrance

We are honored to revive a cherished Cathedral tradition: a special Remembrance Concert and Prayer honoring our Cathedral family and friends who have passed away.

This year’s concert features Gregorian chant and sacred music spanning the Renaissance to the present day, with works by Orlando di Lasso, J.S. Bach, Josef Rheinberger, Herbert Howells, William Harris, Zoltán Kodály, Ronald Arnatt, Thomas Howe, Stephen Paulus, and Ivo Antognini.

Through music, prayers, and readings woven throughout the program, this special evening will offer a time of reflection, remembrance, and prayer for our dearly departed.

The parking garage will stay open later than usual to accommodate concert attendees.

You are invited to have a deceased loved one remembered during the concert and included by name in the printed program. Please email the name to tstehle@stmatthewscathedral.org by October 26, 2026, or visit the Upcoming Music page on the Cathedral website for more information.
