Hospitality Sunday and World Day of Social Communications

Hospitality Sunday!

Don’t miss the final Hospitality Sunday before our summer break! Stop by the North Conference Room (snacks are on us) on June 2 after the 8:30am, 10am, 11:30am or 1pm Masses.

June 2 also is World Day of Social Communications, with a reminder from  Pope Francis that “God is not Solitude, but Communion; he is Love, and therefore communication, because love always communicates; indeed, it communicates itself in order to encounter the other.” (Pope Francis, Message for 2019 World Day of Social Communications).

Being in Relation

Being in Relation, the insert in our May 26 bulletin, looks more closely at Pope Francis’ message, which sees great potential in social media while also warning of risks in its misuse. We invite you to take part in St. Matthew’s social media mission. Our aim is to spread the Word of God by promoting parish and Cathedral liturgies and events, building up our community, and growing in Christian witness and example.
