On Wednesdays of Lent beginning March 13, from 6:30 to 8pm, the doors of St. Matthew's are open and The Light is On for you! Bring a family member or friend to stop in for quiet or rediscover our heavenly Father’s heart of mercy in the Sacrament of Reconciliation. View a guide to the Sacrament of Reconciliation and how to make a good confession.

Join us as our Cathedral seminarians lead us each Wednesday evening at 7pm in breaking open the Scripture readings for the upcoming Sunday. We are blessed to have Br. Antoninus Samy, O.P., Deacon Mingwei Li, Br. Hyacinth Grubbb, OP, and Elmer G. Herrera-Guzman sharing the leadership of this ministry during the 2018-2019 academic year. 

Come and deepen your understanding of sacred Scripture, guided by Theresa Prymuszewski, on Thursdays of Lent beginning March 7 in the North Conference Room from 6:30 to 9pm.

The Stations of the Cross, in the form adopted by St. John Paul II, are prayed in English every Friday of Lent, immediately following the 5:30pm Mass. Join us afterwards for a Simple Lenten Meal in the North Conference Room. All are welcome for all or any part of this evening of prayer, fellowship and almsgiving.

The Social Justice Committee invites you for a Simple Lenten Meal in the North Conference Room following the 6pm Stations of the Cross. Consider spending your early Friday evening with St. Matthew's family and friends - come for the 5:30pm Mass, 6pm Stations of the Cross, and end with a shared meal and an opportunity for almsgiving to a local charity. 

On Saturdays, March 16, 30 and April 6, Fr. Jack Hurley leads us on the a look at the Gospel of Luke, the Gospel we frequently read from at Sunday Mass this year. The focus is the events of Holy Week. Come and enjoy the valuable insights Fr. Jack brings to these studies.

The Schola Cantorum of St Matthew’s Cathedral will present the Office of Vespers for Laetare Sunday, the Fourth Sunday of Lent, March 31 at 4pm. Join us and deepen your Lenten experience with the timeless beauty of Gregorian chant! 

Looking for a quick and easy way to learn more about your faith and meet other young adults at the Cathedral? Join us in the West Conference Room after the 5:30pm Sunday Mass for Cathedral Coffeehouse with Fr. Conrad Murphy and the Cathedral Young Adults.
