Please note the following updates to St. Matthew's Covid-19 protocols, effective Tuesday, March 1, 2022:
- Face coverings will no longer be required to enter the Cathedral, as reflected in new signage as of that date to indicate: “Face masks encouraged but not required.”
- All ministers serving at a liturgy (ushers, lectors, servers, EMHCs, deacons and priests) will for now continue the current practice, i.e., masks are worn in the sanctuary (and the sacristy) and may be removed only during a period of reading or speaking at the ambo, or of singing at the cantor stand.
- Face coverings will continue to be required in the rectory office, conference rooms, and conference areas.
As we adjust to the lifting of the masking requirement for Cathedral visitors, we look forward to welcoming you, especially to our Ash Wednesday liturgies on March 2.
