Young Adults - Oktoberfest

This year’s Oktoberfest will be celebrated on Saturday, October 22, 6:30-10:30pm at St. Thomas Apostle Parish Hall. This annual event is co-hosted by the young adults of St. Matt's and the young adults of St. Thomas the Apostle. The event is a fundraiser for the young adult ministries, but more importantly, it's a fun night of delicious food, drinks, music, and celebrating with young adults from across the city. Tickets will be on sale after Masses and online.

There are also ways to get involved to help make this year’s Oktoberfest a success:

  • Selling tickets after Masses the weekend of October 15-16. We need one or two volunteers to sell tickets for about 20 minutes at the back of church after the Saturday 5:30 PM and Sunday 11:30 AM and 5:30 PM Masses. Contact Jillian McMahon if you can help.
  • Volunteering the day of the event. Volunteers are needed both in the afternoon and during the event to cook, decorate, take tickets, serve food, pour beer and clean up. Volunteering is a great way to meet new people, and you’ll still have plenty of time to enjoy Oktoberfest. Plus, you get $10 off the ticket price, a commemorative pint glass and a t-shirt! Please go to oktoberfestdc.com to sign up as a volunteer, or contact Jillian McMahon for more information.
