On Monday, October 24, 2022, the Cathedral Book Club will meet from 7 to 8:15pm in the West Conference Room to discuss "The Use and Abuse of the Bible," by Benedictine scripture scholar Henry Wansbrough. The author is the former Chair of the Oxford Theology Faculty. He also served for several years on the Pontifical Biblical Commission. Former Oxford colleague Father Nicholas King SJ describes the work as "an enchanting and wonderfully wide-ranging account of how the library that we call the Bible has been read and heard down the ages" as it "brings Scripture alive for an age that desperately needs it."
