On Pentecost Sunday, May 28, 2023, Cardinal Gregory celebrates a special Mass at 3pm in the Cathedral for this year's Confirmation Candidates, Sponsors and their families. This year 86 Candidates will be confirmed by Cardinal Gregory during this special Confirmation Mass, The Cathedral will present 26 Candidates to be confirmed that day - 18 adults and 8 youth. 

“Let us pray to God for these, adopted sons and daughters, already born again to eternal life in Baptism, that God will graciously pour out the Holy Spirit upon them to confirm them with abundant gifts, and through this anointing with Holy Chrism conform them more fully to Christ, the Son of God. Almighty God, who brought your servants to new birth by water and the Holy Spirit , freeing them from sin; send upon them, O Lord, the Holy Spirit, the Paraclete; give hem the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and fortitude, the spirit of knowledge and reverence, fill them with the spirit of wonder and awe in your Presence.
