On Sunday, July 6, join us in the Cathedral at 11am as our new archbishop, the Most Rev. Robert McElroy, celebrates a Mass for the Investiture with the Sacred Pallium. During the Mass Archbishop McElroy will receive, as a sign of his authority as a metropolitan archbishop, the sacred pallium conferred by Archbishop Christophe Pierre, Apostolic Nuncio to the United States, who will be the homilist.

The Cathedral's Schola Cantorum will provide music for this special archdiocesan liturgy.

Be with us as we pray for our Church of Washington entrusted to Archbishop McElroy's care, and that the pallium be "a symbol of unity and a sign of [his] communion with the Apostolic See, a bond of love, and an incentive to courage."
