Kairos Ministry Fall Cookie Drive

Let’s Welcome Back the Kairos Ministry Fall Cookie Drive!

Please drop off cookies Saturday, November 8, from Noon to 5:30pm or Sunday, November 9, before the 5:30pm Mass in the back of the Cathedral, and help us share God's love.

The St. Matthews Social Justice Committee invites you to join us in baking home baked cookies for the Kairos K-90 Weekend, happening November 13-16, 2025, at Greenville Correctional Center in Jarratt, VA.

Kairos Prison Ministry Weekend November 2025

Each Kairos weekend requires 2,400 dozen cookies to serve over 2,000 residents, offering a tangible expression of Christian love. Every cookie represents three profound truths:

  1. God’s Unending Grace – A symbol of His Agape Love.
  1.  The Power of the Christian Community – Home-baked cookies show that people on the outside see and pray for the incarcerated.
  1.  The Availability of Forgiveness – Each participant is asked to give a pack of cookies to their worst enemy, fostering reconciliation and healing.

Additionally, we would like to commence a prayer chain to pray for all participating on the K-90 weekend. You can sign up HERE!

IMPORTANT

Please be sure to read the baking instructions HERE!
Please freeze your cookies after baking & cooling before bagging them for transport.
