Cathedral Book Club: "Do not Judge Anyone": Desert Wisdom for a Polarized World by Isaac Slater, OCSO

Discussion will be Thursday, March 19, 7–8:15 pm, in the West Conference Room.

Fr. Jack will lead a discussion of "DO NOT JUDGE ANYONE": DESERT WISDOM FOR A POLARIZED WORLD by Isaac Slater, OCSO.

For Lenten reading,  "DO NOT JUDGE ANYONE"  by Isaac Slater, OCSO, a monk of the Abbey of the Genesee in New York, has been selected..  It comes highly recommended, as "an approach to everyday living that applies Jesus' teaching of radical non-judgment as a balm for the polarized environment commonly found in the church and the world today."

Furthermore, it reflects on the desert fathers' teachings and practice of not judging, as it interweaves "sources from East and West, ancient and modern."

This Lenten selection will be considered at the Book Club meeting from 7pm to 8:15 pm, on Thursday, March 19, at the West Conference Room.  This appropriately is the feast of Joseph, who at the message of the angel opted NOT to judge Mary!
