Meet the Artist

Dr. Robert P. Gallagher is a distinguished American organist, conductor, and harpsichordist who recently retired as the Minister of Music Emeritus at River Road Church, Baptist in Richmond, Virginia.  He served as Cathedral Organist here from 1988-1996, and was significantly involved in the design and initial installation (1995) of our now completed Lively-Fulcher organ. This concert marks the first public performance by Dr. Gallagher on the completed instrument that he shepherded nearly 40 years ago.
