An Evening with Teresa Pitt Green

Join us as we welcome Teresa Pitt Green to St. Matthew's Cathedral on Thursday, October 10 at 7pm in the North Conference Room.

Teresa Pitt Green is a practicing Catholic and nationally known writer, speaker and advocate for survivors, family members, diocesan and religious priests, brothers, nuns, and all others wounded by abuse within the Church. A 30-year publishing entrepreneur and certified mediator, Teresa has provided programs and resources for integrating faith into recovery for over 17 years. She co-founded both The Healing Voices Magazine community and Spirit Fire. Teresa served ten years on her bishop’s advisory board and currently serves as head of the Northern Virginia Human Trafficking Task Force.

Teresa Pitt Green will offer reflections on her experience as a survivor of clerical abuse whose faith provided the foundation for her healing process, as well as the work of the Catholic survivors of clerical abuse network she has co-founded in terms of their ministry as wounded healers and the recommendations they offer to all Catholics and others to bring healing to the Church and the world, where we serve as salt and light. Teresa will take questions from the audience, and close the presentation with a Healing Voices Litany of Love, which was written by many Catholic clergy-abuse survivors and is prayed at Healing Voices events and on their annual virtual prayer service, which is widely-attended across the United States and Canada.
