Rev. John O'Malley, SJ on "Who Runs the Church? The Crisis. Pope Francis. You."

Renowned Church historian, theologian and author Rev. John O’Malley, S.J. Ph.D. will speak about “Who Runs the Church? The Crisis. Pope Francis. You.” on Thursday, November 21 from 7 to 8:30pm in the North Conference Room.

Fr. O’Malley is a Jesuit priest, currently professor in the Theology Department of Georgetown University. He holds a Ph.D. in history from Harvard University and has lectured widely in Europe and North America. In 2008 he published the renowned text, “What Happened at Vatican II,” a companion to his book “Trent, What Happened at the Council” (2012). Another well-known Jesuit, speaker and author, Fr. James Martin, S.J. writes, “John O’Malley, S.J. is not only the dean of American Catholic historians, he is also one of the Church’s greatest and most accomplished teachers.”
