Cathedral Book Club Discussion

All are welcome to a discussion of "Vipers' Tangle" (also known as "Knot of Vipers") by François Mauriac, on Monday, January 13 from 6:45 to 8pm in the East Conference Room.

Translated from the French, this novel has been described as “a masterpiece of psychological insight striking at the heart of … greed, jealousy and resentment.”

Mauriac won the Nobel Prize for Literature in 1952 “for the deep spiritual insight and the artistic intensity with which he has in his novels penetrated the drama of human life.”   "Vipers' Tangle" has been acclaimed as one of the greatest pieces of Catholic literature, “an undisputed masterpiece.”
