Please join the St. Matthew’s Creation Care Green Team in the 2021 Anacostia Watershed Society Earth Day Clean-up on Saturday, April 24 from 9am to Noon.
Every year on the Saturday following Earth Day, thousands of volunteers come out to dozens of different sites around the watershed to pick-up trash, serve their communities, and enjoy the Anacostia River. AWS allows group registrations at a few locations.
AWS has reserved space for our group at the Northwest Branch/West Hyattsville Metro cleanup site.
Our team registration link is no longer active, but you can still join the St. Matthew's team on Saturday April 24 from 9am to noon. Go to the general AWS registration site and specify the Northwest Branch/West Hyattsville Metro work site (2700 Hamilton St, Hyattsville, MD, METRO: Green line, West Hyattsville stop). Be sure to request this site so we can all be together. Meet at the Northwest Branch Trail footbridge, accessible from the southwest corner of the Metro parking lot.
