Sunday, November 2. We will have our regular schedule of Sunday Masses. Cardinal McElroy will be the principal celebrant at the 11am Mass, with Monsignor Jameson as concelebrant. The 11am Mass will be livestreamed.

Tuesday, September 23, 2025, marks 10 years since Pope Francis came to the Cathedral for midday prayer during his visit to Washington D.C.!

We’re excited to share that our parish is upgrading our online giving platform from Faith Direct to ParishSOFT Managed Giving.

The Cathedral of St. Matthew the Apostle will celebrate a Mass for Peace throughout the world on Friday, August 22, 2025 at 5:30pm.

It's been 800 years since St. Francis wrote his most famous poem, "Canticle of the Creatures." St. Matthew's is blessed to have the work in St. Anthony’s Chapel; take some time to stop by and meditate with it in the chapel to celebrate it's 800th birthday!

On Friday, August 15, the Solemnity of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, a holy day of obligation, our regular daily Cathedral Mass schedule is observed. The holy day observance includes a Vigil Mass at 5:30pm on Thursday, August 14.

This week we are pleased to welcome Rosemarie Longley as the Cathedral’s new Communications Director.

We're happy to welcome our new Holy Father, Pope Leo XIV! Please join us on Sunday, May 18, 2025, at 11am for a Mass of Thanksgiving, celebrated by Fr. Isaac.
